ABOUT
Miller CAD Services was founded by Karyn Miller, Interior Designer and Facilities Planner. A graduate of the University of Ryerson, with a Bachelor of
Interior Design, Karyn Miller of Miller CAD Services has a keen sense
for space allocation, translating this skill into spaces that work. Karyn is
proficient in AutoCAD, generating drawings that are clear, accurate and easy to
understand for implementation.
Karyn has passed her NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualifications) to qualify as a Professional Interior Designer, affiliated with ARIDO (Association of Professional Interior Designers of Ontario) and a member of IDC (Interior Designers of Canada).
Experience included working as a contract Designer, Intermediate Designer, Senior Designer, Supervisor, and Facilities Manager at Manulife Financial from 1990 until 2000.
Following Facilities Management, Karyn opened her own company and works on contract basis for a variety of companies and homeowners. Karyn, works as an Independent Designer to prepare designs, floor plans, space planning and furniture relocation projects. Work also includes preparing working drawings for new home construction and smaller renovation projects.
Past projects included contracts with CH2MHill, Bramic Business Products, ARC Fire Services, Kingsbridge Montessorri School and several home owners. The project work involved space planning, furniture allocation, move relocation, working drawings and furniture specification. Working on these projects have provided Miller CAD Services with experience in creating efficient and creative space planning layouts.
Current projects involve preparing floor plans for renovations and additions for residential projects. Karyn provides complete sets of drawings that the home owner can submit to the Building Department for obtaining Permits. Some recent projects include second floor additions with a master ensuite, bedroom, walk in closet and upstairs laundry facilities.
